On Saturday, January 28th, the young, and the young at heart, gathered to learn about worm composting, also known as "vermicomposting". After hearing about "why worms?" are a great choice for INDOOR composting and food waste issues, it was time for some hands-on bin building. Then, digging in for some black gold digging or "hands-in" practice in worm casting compost "harvesting", (aka sorting out the worm poop!) Great fun, new friends, a wondrously warm way to spend a cold afternoon. [Please visit the Resource Table to explore the topics in more detail.]
